4th Fret
Independent alternative rock band formed in 2018 by a group of young, passionate musicians. The band is composed of Geno Vriell Pili (vocals, guitars), Marwin Ibañez (guitars and backup vocals), Gabriel Abayon (bass), Nehemiah Kenu Olegario (drums), and John Rod Dondoyano (keys). These musicians pursue their passion for music through their own creative endeavors.
In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, 4th Fret released their debut single, “Ginagabi,” along with its music video, which surprised listeners and helped grow their following. This was followed by a series of singles including “Ekis,” “Kung Alam Mo Lang,” “Aurora,” “Winter in Manila,” and “Salamin.”
The band gained wider recognition when their single “Wendy” was featured on Spotify’s curated playlist “Fresh Finds Philippines.” In 2021, as the pandemic continued, 4th Fret was featured in a virtual interview on WISH 107.5 through the segment “Wish Connect.” Following this exposure, the band began receiving performance invitations and gig opportunities across Metro Manila, including a recent TV guesting on Net 25’s morning show “Kada Umaga” in October 2024. The band continues to share their music through live gigs and performances.
